Two awesome bands that I would recommend everybody on here should check out:
1. Sky Larkin
A fine young female-fronted British three piece that are currently earning their chops on the independent circuit both in the UK and in the USA. I went to see them at a teeny tiny venue where still only a handful of people came. Chatted with the band before hand, they are all top guys, they even said hi to us half way through the show haha. Their singer/guitarist is an extremely talented song writer (and performer), the bassist plays some bad ass bass and then they've got a proper John Bonham/Dave Grohl behind the drum kit. They've truly got the spunk of a new and talented band.
Their debut album is available for dead cheap on iTunes, and I'd highly recommend it. It's happy alternative pop punk indie with dark undertones. Here's a song or 2:
2. Giant Drag
This band have been going for a few years now, but are financially in tough times now as their label dropped them and they're trying to raise money to independently release their album. This album is another female fronted one, but this time is a two piece. The band have a good dry sense of humour (some song names include "Kevin is Gay" and "You Fuck Like My Dad"), a great knack for song writer and an interesting live set-up too. Anyone who's into the likes of My Bloody Valentine and The Smashing Pumpkins would like. Watchy!
Chris Isaak cover with hilarious intro.

No worries, I'm glad you liked them! The only thing their lacking at the moment is fans, so I'd definitely buy the album, or if you don't have the money I'll happily get you a free link.

Oh I think she is. Live she always goes on these hilarious rants (remind you of someone?) and she talks like she's a bit erghm 'absent', got a hilarious talking voice too. But then the music is played and it couldn't be anymore different.

I saw him live at Lollapalooza, I've never heard such a black sounding scotsman haha.

i did mine in about 15-20 minutes and the overdubbed vocals on the chorus are off so it sounds kinda funny, but not too bad from what ive been told
